Nagaland is one of the significant parts of our diverse cultural country. The stare had seen part of tourism for travelers who have a keen interest in the culture of Nagaland. It is celebrated in the first week of April, which marks the beginning of their Kenya calendar. The recent economic development had put the way of exclusive tourism of the state. It is being celebrated in 1st week of April – 10th April.

The festival is blissfully celebrated by Kenya tribe. This tribe is the most popular drive which resides in the mountains of Northeast. They are  popular for their head-hunting skills In the past, but now it has stopped. The way of celebration of their culture and lifestyle is unique. Their  colorful dresses, food and rice wine and meat preparation are the main components of the festival. The festival is celebrated to mark the new year and arrival of spring. The prayers are offered to deities to appease the divine spirit good upcoming harvest. This tribe celebrates the festival with immense joy and happiness among people.

The festival last for 10 days when they worship the divine god to bless the land with fertility.    When is the Festival celebrated –

For this year, the festival is organized from 1st April and will conclude by 10th April.

The festival is celebrated with intense excitement and euphoria. The dates of the festival might differ in other villages and nearby areas. It?s the main reason why the celebrations days differ from one location to another. Though the festival is for a week, the festive mood of the tribe ends with massive celebration on the 10th day.

 What is the Festival all about? Festival is all about the regional dance form, enjoying local meat, wine, beer, wine, drinks and colorful traditional dresses, jewelleries, worship method and animal sacrifices.

 dancing, singing, being dressed in traditional colorful attire.

They sang, drink wine and prepare their traditional food with different varieties of meat.

The last two days are dedicated to family members and house. They spend time with their family members.

They indulge in cleaning of their house and neighborhood areas. Furthermore, they practice all these rituals to please the god for blessings, as cleanliness is next to god.
