Sun is very important place in our festivals. Bhanu Saptami is celebrated in Jyestha month of indian calendar. This day is dedicated to the lord Sun. The day is popularly known as Surya Saptami.
Significance –
On this day, people workshop lord sun which helps to attain wealth, longevity and good health. As per Hindu mythology, it is believed that if one observed this fast, devotee is free from any diseases or illness. This Saptami is celeberated in western and southern parts of India.
Devotees offer Maha Abhishek and chanting to get blessings from divine force.
On this day, devotees worship Lord Sun by performing Maha-Abhishek along with chanting several sacred Surya shlokas to please God. It is believed that due to sun, the life exists. Sun is creator of human beings and is known as a lord of vitality and health.
