Festival of Brij is all about celebration of unity and love. It is celebrated in shukla Paksha period. This festival is celeberated for 3 days. This festival comes before holi. The festival is celeberated in honour of sri Krishna. Both ladies and gents celebrate this festival with colourful outfits.
Festival is celebrated with Raslila songs which are unique to this festival. The raasleela depicts entire love story of Lord Krishna and Radha. Performers dance during the festival and perform role play. People also visit Radha Krishna mandir to offer prayers and seek blessings from deities. People also take a dip in holy river. They perform at holy dip in ganga river. It is to believe that this will cleanser and purify the soul.
This is popular tourist attraction apart from traditional dances and folk tales. People also put color on each other. It is a festival of merry where people sing, dancer, drink and come together in festival celebration.
